History
Owner Scott Hoover first entered the flooring world in 1986 when he began training as a professional flooring installer. When Scott and his wife Sandra, moved to South Carolina in 1990, Scott saw an open door of opportunity for installers with experience and professionalism. In both 1999 and 2000, Scott won regionally in a vinyl installation contest sponsored by the World Floor Covering Association. He also went on to win 2nd place in Las Vegas on the national level in 2000. With a broad customer base in installation, Scott wished to also provide the product for his customers. Always innovative, Scott created a "Showroom on Wheels" - a miniature flooring store in an enclosed trailer brought directly to the customer's home. People loved the convenience and efficiency of choosing their flooring needs in the convenience of their own home! Hoover's Flooring opened their first building location on Main St. in Wagener, South Carolina in 2000. As business grew, the small space was bursting at the seams and In 2012, Hoover's Flooring moved into the current location This almost 100 year old building was renovated to meet the needs of a modern business while still maintaining its timeless characteristics and southern charm.
